Blenheim Solar Farm

300MW+ solar power for the Lockyer Valley region

About Blenheim Solar Farm

Blenheim Solar Farm is currently under development and is set to provide clean, renewable solar power to the Lockyer Valley region. Located approximately 10 km southwest of Laidley, the project will have approximately 300 megawatt (MW) of installed solar capacity, and an associated battery. The project will generate enough energy to power more than 100,000 homes with clean, renewable energy each year.

FAQ

European Energy is committed to maximising the benefits of the project to the local community. Opportunities will be given for local contractors to supply goods and services, particularly during project construction. A benefit sharing strategy will be developed in consultation with the local community. To ensure that the benefits of this initiative are maximised, community consultation will lie at the heart of its implementation strategy. It is anticipated that $1million AUD over the life of the project will be distributed to community projects.

The 275kV Greenbank to Middle Ridge transmission line crosses the project site. As part of construction works, a new 275kV switch yard will be established within the project footprint to cut into this line.

A development application will be submitted to the Lockyer Valley Regional Council.
